Cockle Finance was started by Alfred John Cockle over 50 years ago in Romford. Having seen his Mum lend money to friends and neighbours in London’s East End, before the war, Alf decided to carry this on. Alf’s son Steve grew up seeing his dad run the business and it was a natural progression for him to come into the business and take it to the next level. Now, Steve’s son Dan has taken over meaning it’s now officially a third generation business!
